Texas Nutrition strives to offer its members as many opportunities to succeed as possible. When students join a dietetic association, they not only build their contacts in the Nutrition field, but also learn about how to become active in the nutrition community at multiple levels and score an internship or job.
National organization for food and nutrition professionals. Joining AND gives students access to academic resources, professional education opportunities, the ability to connect with registered dietitians, dietetic technicians, and other dietetic students; and better access to dietetic internships, scholarships, and job openings. Membership year is from June 1st - May 31st and student membership is $58 (includes membership in the state (Texas) Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics).
Organization of dietetic professionals and students in the state of Texas. Works in health promotion and disease prevention in the state of Texas. Must be a member of AND to join, and membership fee is a part of AND membership.
Organization that connects Texas dietetic students. Members receive resources to become involved at university, district, state, and national levels. Members can participate in statewide volunteer projects, meet other dietetic students and professionals within the state, apply for TSDA scholarships, and have the potential to become leaders as part of the TSDA Executive Board. Membership year is from June 1st - May 31st and membership fee is $10.
Formerly known as Austin Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Organization for the food and nutrition experts of Austin. This is the organization Texas Nutrition is becoming most involved with. Joining allows students to network with dietitians in the Austin area, and provides job/internship opportunities as well as leadership opportunities within the city of Austin. Membership year is from June 1st - May 31st and student membership is $15.
